Weekend Retreat -- Olympics

Here is the majority of the people on the staff retreat

While on the retreat, we had some Olympic set up to do. We all split up into 4 teams of 10 and began the challenges. The first event was the paddle boat/canoe relay. There was an island in the middle of the pond we were at and two team members to go clockwise around the island with the paddle boat. When they got back, they had to switch with another two to go counterclockwise with the canoe. We each had to go around once so it took a while.

The second event was the very popular middle school game Hand Ball. My team one this.

The third event of the Olympics was doing synchronized swimming. Each group had two swimmers and were accompanied by the rest of the group. This group did something strange with two guys hugging each other while singing "I believe I can Fly"

This group had a shark theme accompanied by the song: "Baby Shark"

Unfortunately, we lost a couple of swimmers... or rather their routine just didn't make a lot of sense.

My group did a maintenance theme titled: A day in Wayne's World. We sang "Hi Ho" from Snow White and played some sweet beats.

The last part to the Olympics was a decathlon (10 different events). Here are a few that I was able to capture. Swimming relay.

Highest standing jump

Hammer toss

Hurdles

The javelin throw

My position in the decathlon was the shot put (or rather who could throw the football the furthest). I was able to get second.
