Week 2 Work Detail

Wayne cuts through the cement of the old maintenance shed as Dave (the YWAM director) watches

This is Louis. He is a great worker in the maintenance department. He is from Africa and just a fun guy to be around. I work with him most days and we accomplish a lot together.

There are some trees on the back of the property that needed to be cut down so that the house that will eventually sit on the property will be able to come in off the street. We hired a professional crew to come in and knock them down.

This wood chipper was used by the tree cutters and for those of you who don't know what this means to me, Vermeer Manufacturing is located in my home town of Pella. So it was an amazing thing to see a touch of home half way around the world.

The tree cutters use ropes and pulleys attached to a large truck to pull the trees down in the right direction.

Louis and Juan watch from a distance. Juan was the guy who picked me up from the airport

They pull the first tree down

Timber!
